This Flash animation lesson demonstrates how to play a Form 1 pentatonic scale in the key of 'A' minor. On the next page, you will see an animated diagram. The diagram shows the guitar in the same orientation as if you were watching a video.
The fingerings in these exercises is crucial. Each note in the Flash animations shows a fingering:
- I= Index
- M = Middle
- R = Ring
- L = Little
Use the fingerings show in the animation.
First, practice with the Flash animation on the next page. This animation shows the ascending (lowest to highest) form of the scale. Then return to this page and practice with the MP3 tracks below. The MP3 tracks include descending (highest to lowest) form of the scale.
