Power Chord Progressions
The next chord progression we will look at is 'G' to 'D.'
'G' Power Chord:

'D' Power Chord:

In this example, you have to shift from index on the 3rd fret to index on the 5th. You also have to cross the form from index on the 6th (lowest) string, to index on the 5th string.
The 'G' chord has its root on the 6th (lowest) string. The 'D' chord has its root on the 5th (A) string.
