'Two-Down' Strumming Pattern

We will start with a simple 'two-down' strumming pattern, and we'll practice this over an open 'G' chord.

I assume you're already familiar with the left hand chord shape, so the purpose of this exercise is to give you practice with the strumming pattern in your right.

Form a 'G' chord with your left hand, and strum down in steady time with your right.

The down-strum is a long brush-like stroke across all of the strings in the chord, all 6 strings in this case. Notice the angle of the pick is around 45 degrees.
