Purpose

The purpose of this lesson is to teach you how to form 15 open chord shapes with your left hand. We will also cover conditioning steps for the left hand that will help you to master these shapes faster than conventional methods.

Main Points of This Lesson:

  • Placing your fingers behind the frets
  • Playing combinations of open chords
  • Strumming techniques for chords
  • Playing in time with simple music tracks ('microsongs')
  • Using still holds on the guitar neck to reduce tension in the left hand
