Example 7   Crossing To An Open String   The purpose of the next four examples is to practice crossing strings. This example combines the first two examples. In this example, we will cross to an open string.

1 -- Pick the open high string. Let this note ring for a moment.

2 -- Place your finger on the high string at the 3rd fret.

3 -- Pick the high string. Let the note ring for a moment.

4 -- Remove your finger from the string.

5 -- Pick the open 2nd string. Let this note ring for a moment.

6 -- Place your finger on the 2nd string at the 3rd fret.

7 -- Pick the 2nd string. Let the note ring for a moment.

8 -- Remove your finger from the string.
